This one-period lesson is the perfect Quick Fix for a humanities class on poetry or a longer advisory lesson on gratitude. It would also be awesome as a full-grade activity before Thanksgiving! Students consider Robert Frost’s famous poem, review figurative language, and reflect on the people, places, and things in their lives for which they are grateful. The lesson ends with the creation of a poignant piece of collaborative art. This lesson is leveled for grades 6-12.
