Featured in Tony Wagner’s book Most Likely to Succeed, this student-led project focuses on the intentional development of executive functioning and interpersonal skills and creates a unique opportunity for students to choose the subject of their studies. Over the course of the project, students build durable, transferable skills like researching, note taking, interviewing, management of time and materials, public speaking, and the practice of metacognition. A final presentation celebrates student voice and provides practice in the giving, receiving, and application of feedback. The timeline for this project could vary from four weeks to twenty weeks in length. If you're looking for a way to incorporate student-driven learning, this project is for you!  This project is leveled for grades 5-8.
