About Susan

Susan is a Rhode Island-based curriculum designer, writer, executive functioning and wellness coach, and mother of three.
Over the course of her three decades as a classroom teacher and theater director in independent and public schools, Susan earned a reputation for designing lessons, projects, and units that build executive functioning skills, incorporate cross-curricular connection, offer opportunities for student choice, engage students in experiential learning, and deepen student understanding of themselves and the positive impacts they can have on the communities in which they live.

Susan’s curriculum was featured in Tony Wagner's Most Likely to Succeed: Preparing Our Kids for the Innovation Era, and student work from her Artwork to Poetry project was selected for national exhibit in the U.S. Department of Education.

Susan is certified as a life and health coach and is an avid hiker who has climbed all of the Adirondack High Peaks in winter, the New England Highest 111, and 46 of the Colorado 14ers.
